Yesterday I was chatting to my sister, Jenny (Jennifer to most of you!) and we were talking about when she's coming to visit in April for Amy's Homecoming.
Images started popping in my mind and I excitedly said, "We should go do stuff with our kids when you're here!!" Silence on the other end.
Ah yes. The week after Amy's Homecoming.
Fully forgetting the small detail that I'm going to be HAVING MY BABY the day after Amy's Homecoming. All images of the trips to the park, to the zoo, to the McDonald's Play land disappeared in a big poof. I felt like Ralphie on the Christmas Story when he blurts out "Flick says he saw some grizzly bears near Pulaski's candy store!" And his parents stare at him like he had lobsters crawling out of his ears. Just a small detail!
I wish I could say this is the only time I've been so brainless. Today at work, I tried to use the flashlight on my key ring to get access to the building. (Just so you know, it didn't work.)
I've also unsuccessfully tried to change the time on the clock in my car several times. I tried every combination of buttons. Hold down Mode and press Set, Hold down Set and press AM/FM....I finally had to pull out the owner's manual. Ahh yes, push that little button that says H. There is also one that says M. That's how you change the HOUR and MINUTE. I've only owned my car for 4 years now....
Can you see where the time is displayed? RIGHT next to it, is the H.

Oh you crack me up! Don't feel bad everyone has their moments. So when are you actually going to have the baby? And . . . here is my moment; what is the sex again?
You are worse than me!! I was peeing at this blog. I just feel like Annie more each day. I leave the butter and jam out all day and get "rigor-mortis" every time I sit or lay down. She is so gay!
Oh that is too funny...just a small detail to forget, lol! Hey, the other day I tried unlocking the house door with the car clicker thing! I'm so excited to see baby Robinson!!! Time is going fast, it's going to be here before we know it!!!
You are too funny! My moment is looking all around for my cell phone (because it wasn't in my pocket), only to realize I was talking on it....
and what's up with your liver hurting?
I am freaking peeing! You're the gayest ever! But I do have to say I am staring to lose my memory these days as well. On Saturday, I totally forgot it was LIndsay's birthday on Monday. Nice mom I am! I'm peeing at Heidi's "rigor-mortis."
Hi Karen. When you are pregnant, any idiotic thing that happens is automatically excused. It's when you are not pregnant and these things happen that you'll have to start worrying about. Cute blog.
Oh, I know I am so late on commenting, but you always make me laugh...so funny. And I have that same pregnant brain, but mine never gets smart again when the baby comes... good luck with that.
